Online Backup Configuration Guide
Welcome to Online Backup! This guide aims at helping you successfully deploy your Online Backup solution for your users. Make sure to follow all the steps below and your data will be protected and easily accessible in no time.
Step 1: Accessing the Control Panel
Address: http://admin05.sherwebcloud.com/
Admin Username: defaultuser@your-domain.com
Admin Password: your-password
Control Panel: The online portal where account administrators manage their Online Backup users (add, edit, and remove). Account statistics can also be viewed in the Control Panel.
Step 2: Creating your Online Backup users
Once you are logged in the Control Panel, create your users and assign them the Online Backup service. Please refer to the following guides for detailed instructions.

Step 3: Activating Online Backup
Once your users are activated in the Control Panel, they will receive an email with their credentials. They will then be able to connect to the Web Management Console and download the Online Backup application.
Web Management Console: The online portal from where end-users can download the Online Backup application, manage their backed up data, and change their password, amongst other things.
Application: The software end-users install on their computer. It comes in a single instance for each platform (Windows, Mac), regardless of the version of the operating system (workstation or server).

Important Note It is highly recommended that the application setup process be cautiously planned for a server. The initial backup usually represents the sync of a very large amount of data and can seriously impact your network performance. We recommend the initial sync be scheduled during off hours such as nights and weekends.
