How to add a record to a DNS zone

• Synopsis

  This guide will show you how to add a record to a DNS zone in your Account Manager.

• Applicable to

  All SherWeb hosted accounts.

• Prerequisite

  • a SherWeb hosted account
  • a SherWeb hosted DNS
     

• How to

  1. Log into the Account Manager.
  2. Click on Domains.
  3. Click on Manage Records next to the zone for which you wish to add a record.
  4. In the new window, click on Add a new record.
  5. Fill out the Name, Type and Data fields.

  Note: If you wish to create an A record (alias) for your main domain (not a sub-domain), you must leave the Name field blank.

  6. Click on Create.
