How to configure Microsoft Outlook Express 6 using POP3 (Exchange 2007)

    This guide will show you how to configure a POP3 account on Microsoft Outlook Express 6.
  • Applicable to

    All SherWeb Web hosting accounts
  • Prerequisite

    • a SherWeb hosted Exchange account
  • How to

    1. Open Microsoft Outlook Express.
    2. In the Menu toolbar, click on the Tools tab and select Accounts.
    3. Click on the Add button and select Mail.
    4. Enter the name you want to see appear in the messages you sent then click on Next. webhost_MOE6POP3_1
    5. Enter your email address then click on Next. webhost_MOE6POP3_2
    6. Leave POP3 as incoming mail server type.
    7. Enter your website's internet address in both the Incoming mail server field and the Outgoing mail server field, then click on Next. webhost_MOE6POP3_3
    8. Enter your email address and password in the appropriate fields then click on Next.

      Leave the Remember password option activated if you do not want to be prompted to enter your password again when Outlook Express connects to your mail server.

    9. Click on Finish.
