How to create a domain alias (Exchange 2007)

• Synopsis

  This guide will show you how to create a domain alias from your Control Panel.

• Applicable to

  All SherWeb hosted Exchange 2007 accounts.

• Prerequisite

  • a SherWeb hosted Exchange 2007 account

• How to

  1. Log into the Control Panel.
  2. Click on Domains, located in the Exchange section.
  3. Click on Create a domain.
  4. In the Name field, enter the name you want to give to your new domain alias and in the Domain type field, select Authoritative if SherWeb administers all emails for that domain or select External relay if you are forwarding emails to SherWeb from another provider. Then, click on Save. 
  5. The scren will change to inform you that the domain has been created successfully.
