How to create an email alias for a user (Exchange 2007)

    This guide will show you how to create an email alias for a user in the Control Panel.

    All SherWeb hosted Exchange 2007 accounts.

    Note: You may have as many email aliases as you wish. All emails sent to your aliases (e.g. sales@sherdemo-RS.com) will then be forwarded to your authentic email address. To check the inbox status of your aliases, you must check your authentic inbox email account.

    Note: If the alias address requires a different domain name (e.g. sales@Sherweb.com), you must first create a domain alias. To do so, please refer to the FAQ #28: How to create a domain alias (Exchange 2007).

    1. Log into the Control Panel.
    2. Select the user for whom you wish to create an email alias. CP_Select_User
    3. Click on Email aliases, located in the Setup section. CP_Email_Aliases
    4. Enter the new email alias, select the desired domain and then click on Save. CP_Create_New_Alias
