How to create E-mail templates

    This guide will show you how to create E-mail templates in CRM 4.0.
  • Applicable to

    All SherWeb hosted CRM accounts.
  • Prerequisite

    • a SherWeb hosted CRM account
  • How to

    1. Click on the Settings tab, then click on Templates and finally click on E-mail Templates.CRM_template_01
    2. Click on New and select a Template type from the drop down menu. In this example we select the Contact type.CRM_template_02
    3. Write your new template in the E-mail Template: New window.

    Note: To add variables (personalized fields) in a certain place in your template, click on Insert/Update, and then click on Add. In the Record Type dropdown menu, select an entity and then select the field of this entity. Click on OK. The variable will be added in your template.

    1. After typing your text and adding the personalized fields, your email template will look like this:CRM_template_04
    2. Click on Save and Close.

     

    How to send direct E-mail:

     

    1. While in the Entity in question, Contacts in our example, or from your Advanced Find results page, click on the Send Direct E-mail button.CRM_template_05

    1. Select your E-mail template and select the desired option in the Send direct e-mail to section and then click on Send.CRM_template_07
