How to forward emails from an external domain to a SherWeb mailbox (Exchange 2007)

• Synopsis

  This guide will show you how to forward your emails from an external domain to your SherWeb mailbox with Exchange 2007.

• Applicable to

  All SherWeb Reseller 2007 accounts.

• Prerequisite

  • a SherWeb 2007 Exchange reseller account

• How to

  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. Select the user you wish to forward emails to.
  3. In the Setup section, click on Email alias.
  4. In the Manage aliases section, note which alias includes .net.
  5. Go to your forwarding provider and enter the user@yourdomain-extention..net address as the recipient address.
  6. Since your domain's MX records do not point to SherWeb, change your domain type to External relay. (For further assistance, please refer to the FAQ #38: How to edit a domain type (Exchange 2007)
