Migrating from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010 is a step many organizations will consider. Although SharePoint 2010 offers users many more functionalities, it is also a more sophisticated product. At this time, there is no one-step method upgrading from our SharePoint 2007 environment to the new SharePoint 2010 platform. We must advise you that migrating from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010 is a very challenging experience to do in-house and may not be a very cost-effective solution.
For users wishing to make the transition to SharePoint 2010, we recommend launching 2010 initiatives while maintaining your current SharePoint 2007 deployments. SherWeb is currently working on a set of automated tools and procedures to help current users migrate their SharePoint 2007 site to SharePoint 2010.
