How to set up an Outlook profile using the configuration tool (Exchange 2007)

  This guide will show you how to use the configuration tool to set up your Exchange 2007 Outlook profile.

• Applicable to

  All SherWeb hosted Exchange 2007 accounts.

• Prerequisite

  • Outlook
  • a SherWeb hosted Exchange 2007 account

• How to

  1. Make sure Outlook is closed.
  2. Download the configuration tool.
  3. In the Internet Explorer Security Warning dialog box, click on Run.
  4. In the File Download dialog box, click on Run.
  5. In the Outlook Profile Configuration window, enter a name for your profile in the Outlook Profile Name field and your SherWeb hosted Exchange email address in the Email address field, and then click on OK.

  7. Open Outlook.
  8. A window will pop up asking you to connect to VMBX101..net. Enter your Exchange email address in the Username field and your Exchange password in the Password field, and then click on OK. [Error: Image not found]
  9. In the Choose Profile window, select your Exchange profile in the scroll down menu and then click on OK.
  10. When the VMBX1XX..net pop up window appears, enter your Exchange email address in the Username field and your Exchange password in the Password field, and then click on OK .
