How to set up an Outlook profile using the configuration tool (Exchange 2007)

    This guide will show you how to use the configuration tool to set up your Outlook profile.

    All SherWeb hosted Exchange 2007 accounts.

  • How to

    1. Make sure Outlook is closed.
    2. Download the configuration tool.
    3. In the Internet Explorer Security Warning dialog box, click on Run (see the Ok_IE_Warning_window_Run).
    4. In the File Download dialog box, click on Run (see the Ok_File_Download_window).
    5. In the Outlook Profile Configuration window, enter a name for your profile in the Outlook Profile Name field and your SherWeb hosted Exchange email address in the Email address field, and then click on OK (see the Ok_Profile_Configuration).
    6. When the Name Profile window pops up, click on OK (see the Ok_<img alt=_Profile_window" src="/Images/Image/316">).
    7. Open Outlook.
    8. A window will pop up asking you to connect to VMBX101.Name.net. Enter your Exchange email address in the Username field and your Exchange password in the Password field, and then click on OK (see the [Error: Image not found]).
    9. In the Choose Profile window, select your Exchange profile in the scroll down menu and then click on OK (see the Ok_Choose_Profile_Exchange).
    10. When the VMBX1XX.Name.net pop up window appears, enter your Exchange email address in the Username field and your Exchange password in the Password field, and then click on OK (see the Ok_Connect_to_VMBX1XX).
