How to set up Entourage 2004 (Exchange 2007)

• Synopsis

  This guide will show you how to set up Entourage 2004 with Exchange 2007.

• Applicable to

  All SherWeb hosted Exchange 2007 accounts.

• Prerequisite

  • a SherWeb hosted Exchange 2007 account
  • OSX 10.3 or a latest version
  • Entourage 2004
     

• How to

  1. Open Entourage.

  Note: If this is your first time using Entourage, close the Assistant window.

  2. Click on Entourage - Account Settings.
  3. In the Accounts window, click on Exchange.
  4. Click on New.
  5. In the Account Setup Assistant window, check the box My account is on an Exchange Server and then click on Configure Account Manually at the bottom of the page.
  6. In the Edit Account window, type the name you wish to give to your profile in the Account Name field.
  7. Under Personal Information, enter the name that you wish your email recipients to see in the Name field and your exchange account email in the E-mail Address field. 
  8. Under Server Information, enter your SAM account name1 in the Account ID field, IHOST (in capital letters) in the Domain field,  your Exchange account email password in the Password field, check the box Save password in my Mac OS Keychain and enter https://webmail..net/exchange/your@emailaddress.com in the Exchange Server field.
  9. Check the box This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL), uncheck the box Override default DAV port and then click on OK.
