How to set up Entourage 2008 with Exchange 2007

• Synopsis

  This guide will show you how to set up Entourage 2008 with Exchange.

• Applicable to

  All SherWeb hosted Exchange 2007 accounts.

• Prerequisite

  • a SherWeb hosted Exchange 2007 account
  • OSX 10.3 or a newer version
  • Entourage 2008
     

• How to

  1. Open Entourage.

  Note: If this is the first time you are using Entourage, close the Assistant window.

  2. Go to Entourage - Account Settings (see the ).

  Note: If Entourage opens the automatic configuration dialog box, simply close it.

  3. The Accounts window will appear. Click on New (see the ).
  4. In the Account Setup Assistant window, check the box My account is on an Exchange Server and then click on Configure Account Manually at the bottom of the page (see the ).
  5. If you see the New Account window, select Exchange as the Account type and then click on OK (see the ).
  6. In the Edit Account window, enter the name you want to give to your account in the Account Name field (see the ).
  7. Under Personal Information, enter the name you wish your email recipients to see in the Name field and the email address that your recipients will see in the Email Address field (see the ).
  8. Under Authentication, enter your SAM account name 1 in the Account ID field, IHOST (in upper case only) in the Domain field, your email password in the Password field and make sure the box Save password in my Mac OS keychain is checked (see the ).
  9. Under Server Information, enter https://webmail..net/exchange/your@emailaddress.com in the Exchange Server field, make sure the box This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked andthe box Override default DAV port is unchecked and then click on OK (see the ).
