Plugging in your deskphone

  • Synopsis

    This guide will explain how to plug in your VoIP / Cloud PBX deskphone.
  • Applicable to

    All SherWeb VoIP Cloud Services users
  • Prerequisite

     

    You must be a SherWeb VoIP Cloud Services user

     

  • How to

     

    All phones should be pre-programmed and simply need to be plugged in to the network.

     

    Un-package the phone and plug the INTERNET or LAN port in the back of the phone to a working network connection that supplies DHCP.

    The phone will boot-up, get it’s configuration, and then reboot once again. After that, it’s ready for use.

    If there’s no DHCP on the network the phones network settings will need to be manually programmed in order to get it’s configuration settings. If you don’t have a POE switch the phones require a power supply.
