How can I setup Entourage 2008 with Exchange 2007?


Synopsis:

This guide will show you how to setup Entourage 2008 with Exchange 2007.

Prerequisites:

You must have an Exchange 2007 account with SherWeb.
You must have OSX 10.3 or newer

How-to Steps:

  1. Open Entourage and click Entourage. (See MAC EN08 1)
  2. Click Account Settings. (See MAC EN08 2)
  3. Click New. (See MAC EN08 3)
  4. Click Configure Account Manually. (See MAC EN08 4)
  5. Select Exchange as the account type. (See MAC EN08 5)
  6. In the section Personal Information, enter the following information: (See MAC EN08 6)
  7. Name: The name you wish to give your profile.
  8. Email Address: The email address you wish for your recipients to see.
  9. Enter the following information in the Authentication section:
  10. Account ID: This is your SAM You can find your SAM account name in the Control Panel under the User statistics section. account name.
  11. Domain: Enter IHOST (use upper case only)
  12. Password: This is your email password.
  13. Make sure Save password in my Mac OS keychain is checked.
  14. In the box Exchange Server, enter: https://webmail.Name.net/exchange/your@emailaddress.com
  15. Check the box This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL) and make sure the box Override default DAV port is unchecked.
  16. Click Ok.
